Though it was dark, the
little princess was determined
to reclaim what had been lost,
tiny white hand clinging tightly
to the lantern. At the sound of 
something stirring by the bushes,
her breath quickened, and she
raised the light.
   ”—Who’s there?”

The light illuminated upon 
the Unicorns body as if she were a star.
Her fur as white as fresh snowfall,
her horn gleaming
as if it were made of mother pearl. 
Deep set eyes that had no reflections
a midst what they saw in past years fold. 
Curious to the young princess who called,
she came. 

“No other beyond you and I.”
